24 Hour 3 Peaks Challenge - In Memory of Poppy and Amalie
On 14 July 2007, Matthew Carter, Louise Dunn, Melanie Garlick, Adam Sprague and Charles Turner (from the Gloucester office of PricewaterhouseCoopers) successfully completed the 3 Peaks Challenge.
They chose Scoo-B-Doo in memory of their colleague’s premature twin babies, Poppy and Amalie, who died in March 2007.
The challenge itself was fairly eventful! It was snowing at the top of Snowdon and wet and slippery on Scafell. The team got lost on the way down Scafell Pike at 11.30 at night and somebody asked for directions whilst holding the map upside down! The weather on the Sunday dawn was beautiful with fantastic views. One of the guys got locked out of their vehicle wearing just a pair of leggings!
The team did a great job and raised £1,176 - well done guys!
