Along with husband Phil, sister Beccy and dad Phill, Sam King will be running a half marathon with all funds raised going to SCOO-B-DOO.
Here’s what Sam has to say…
“Our beautiful Daughter Ellie May King was born sleeping on 24th October 2006 after a very swift induction and delivery. Ellie had died on the Monday and we were booked in to be induced on the Tuesday after a very troubled pregnancy. She was perfect to us but unfortunately did not take her first breath. Phil and I and my family felt we needed to give something back to Gloucester Royal who were amazing in our journey through the pregnancy and out the other side, with support from our Consultant Dr Elaine Smith a marvellous lady, the Midwifes especially Sheila Wriggly and our bereavement midwife Viv who has helped us so much through this uncharted and painful territory for which we are still feeling our way. Our heartmost thanks to them all. “
The half marathon, organised by the Gloucester Athletics Society will leave from the Newent Community Centre on the 29th July 2007.
